Summary
Having both devices’ “Select Switches” in the same position can confuse the system, affect your scans, prevent you from binding your devices properly, or prevent the system from staying bound.
The Select Switch has two settings: “Main” (the device intended for the left, indicated by a yellow sticker) and "Aux" (intended for the right). This article will show you how to adjust your “Select Switches” for multiple devices so that you don’t encounter an issue later on in your scans.
Tools You Will Need
· Pair of MyoVision 3G devices (either ScanVision or FlexVision)
· Paperclip or pen to assist toggle
Note Before You Begin
· The Select Switches should be in opposite positions on each scanner as this is what selects the “Main” (left) and “Aux” (right) channels.
· If you are checking FlexVisions and ScanVisions at the same time, restart your computer only once after you’ve checked both sets of devices.
Step-by-Step
ScanVision
1. The “SELECT SWITCH” is located on the left side of the scanner (when the electrodes are pointing up) in between the power indicator light and the “POWER” switch.
Note: If neither of your devices has a yellow dot, simply pick one to be the “Main”(left) and “Aux” (right) device. But make sure there’s a signifier on the device, so that you do not mix up which one is the left or right device.
2. Hold the scanner with the yellow sticker. Toggle the “SELECT SWITCH” towards the electrodes. This will designate the scanner as “Main” or left. This is the up position. If necessary, use a paperclip or pen to assist toggling.
3. Hold the scanner without the yellow sticker. Toggle the “SELECT SWITCH” away from the electrodes.
This will designate the scanner as “Aux” or right. This is the down position. If necessary, use a paperclip or pen to assist toggling.
4. Close all windows, and restart your computer.
5. Turn the devices off and then back on by using the “POWER” switch at the bottom of the device, notated by the arrow.
6. Open your MyoVision software and try the binding process.
FlexVision
1. Hold the FlexVision so that the “POWER” switch is facing you, shown here in the left picture. Now turn the device so you are looking at the back, shown here in the right picture. The “SELECT SWITCH” is located on the bottom left side, when looking at the back.
Note: There is a helpful reminder printed on the back that says “Up = Main” and “Down = Aux”.

3. Hold the FlexVision without the yellow sticker. Toggle the “SELECT SWITCH” away from the top of the circle. This will designate the scanner as “Aux” or right. This is the down position. If necessary, use a paperclip or pen to assist toggling.
4. Close all windows and restart your computer.
5. Turn the devices off and then back on by using the “POWER” switch.
6. Open your MyoVision software and try the binding process.
