How do I print two scans for one patient on the same page?

Summary
In order to illustrate the progress of your patient, it is helpful to print out two scans for that patient on the same page. This printout will show two scans side-by-side or, overlaid on the same spine. This visual representation allows the patient to see the progress they’ve made through your treatments. This article will go over the options and procedures for printing two scans of one patient on the same page.

Note Before You Begin
  • All scans can be printed on the same page except Dynamic/ROM scans. These scans must be printed out individually.
  • Your hardware (PhysioMonitor, Scanners, etc.) does not need to be plugged-in in order to print scans.
Step-by-Step
1. Click “Open” button at the top of the screen.

2. The “Select Patient Exam” screen will open. Select a patient with multiple scans.

Note:  There are day and time stamps for each scan, so that you can easily select, for instance, the patient’s first scan and most recent scan.

If you have several exams for the specific patient, you can also sort the exams by “Date,” “Time,” and “Name” by clicking on the category by which you’d like to sort your exams.

3. Select the two exams you would like by pressing and holding the CTRL key on your keyboard, and individually clicking each exam you’d like to print.

4. Click “OK.”

5. You will be given the option to see the exams “Side-By-Side” or “Overlay.” This will determine how your exams will look on the same page.

5a. If you choose “Side-by-Side” you will get a display screen that will put the exams on top of one another showing two different spines.

Note: If you print "Side-by-Side" there will be no Goal spine. The printout will only have the two scans selected placed on top of the other.

The most recent scan will be placed over the older scan.

5b. If you choose “Overlay” both scans will be placed on the same spine.

In this example, the most recent scans have been placed under the first scans. The older scan is notated with a small “X.” It will be much easier to see these markings on your printout and screen. Here’s a close-up of the “X” on the spine.

6. After choosing between “Side-by-Side” or “Overlay,” click on “File” in the upper left corner, and select “Print All Open Exams.”

7. The print dialogue box will open. Make sure you’ve selected the correct printer. Click “OK.”

Note: If you click on Print Preview, you will not see the two scans you have selected. The Print Preview is used for printing a single exam with additional information. The Print Preview button does not see the two exams you have selected. But if you Print All Open Exams, it will print correctly. print two exams, see exams side by side, see two exams
