Binding 3G Devices to the SoloVision

This document has been taken (and then expanded) from the MyoVision User Manuel which is located in your software. To access the full MyoVision User Manuel go to the “Help” drop-down menu and choose “MyoVision User Manuel.”

The SoloVision will need to be plugged into the computer, with a green power light showing, and the software needs to be installed  before proceeding with this document.

With the SoloVision powered and connected to the computer, turn on the device(s) that are to be bound by toggling their power buttons into the "On" position.

1.       Open the MyoVision software. *Opening the software is not necessary to bind the device, but it provides you with a visual confirmation that your device is properly bound.*

2.      Go to the “Setup” menu, choose the “Settings” submenu, and click on “3G Bind Devices.” This will display the connection status and battery life

3.       Press the Start buttons on the devices in your hand (make sure you have toggled the power switched to the “On” position) they should light up with 1 green light, and 1 blinking red light. The green light should be the “Power” light. If it is red, then you will need to put new batteries into the device, or charge the device. The blinking red light should be the “Connect Status” light.

4.       Locate the button that says “Connect Switch.” The "Connect Switch" is locate to the right of the start button on the ScanVision. The "Connect Switch" is located at the top of the dome of the FlexVision. The "Connect Switch" is located on the base of the ThermoVision. The "Connect Switch" is located on the top of the DynaVision.

***The next few steps are time sensitive. Read through the next steps before you proceed. Once you push the connect switch button on the device you will only have a few seconds to press the bind button on the solovision.***

5.       Using a straightened paper clip or push pin, push and hold the recessed “Connect Switch” button on the handheld unit until the red light goes from a blinking red, to a solid red.

Note: If there is a second device, finish the binding process for one unit before proceeding to the second.

6.       While the “Connect Status” LED on the handheld device is solid red, use the same thin implement to push the switch labeled “Bind” on the front of the SoloVision.

7.       When successful, the “Connect Status” LED on the handheld unit should turn green. This change will also be reflected on the “3G Bind Devices” screen after a moment.

Repeat steps, 3 – 7 for the second handheld device if you have the ScanVisions or FlexVisions.

Note: Remember you can only have a successful bind when the Connect Status light is solid.

The timing of the binding process is crucial. If the handheld device goes back to a blinking red before you hit the “Bind” button you will need to try again.

Sometimes, it takes a few tries to get the timing just right to bind the devices.
