Configuring Your MyoVision Software for Single or Dual Scanners

As of software version 5.0.151, you can set the software to use two scanners or one. This article will demonstrate how to identify if your software is set to use a single or two scanners and how to change that setting within the software.

Before you begin:

  • Make sure that you have software version 5.0.151 or higher. If you're not certain which software version you're using, take a quick look at this support article: http://support.myovision.com/help/find-your-software-version
  • Make sure that your ScanVision device is set to "Left" by moving the toggle switch on the left side of your device labeled "Select Switch" or "Left - Select - Right." (Left is towards the probes, right is away from the probes.) 
  • Once you have moved the "Select Switch," turn the device off, then turn it back on using the power switch

Check if your software is set for Single or Dual Scanners:

  1. Select the Quick Scan screen
  2. Go into Setup > Settings > Pair Devices

If your screen looks image "1" below, then your software is set up to use two scanners. 

If your screen looks like image "2" below, then the software is setup to use a single scanner.


Select which scanner set-up applies to you:

Single Scanner Set-up

  1. Open the Setup menu followed by Settings then Devices
  2. Select ScanVision from the list on the left hand-side of the window that opens.
  3. Under Single ScanVision Device Mode make sure that the enable box is checked. If it's not left-click the box once to check it.
  4. You will get a prompt that says the device needs to be set LEFT.  Click ok to exit.

Dual Scanner Set-up

  1. Open the Setup menu followed by Settings then Devices
  2. Select ScanVision from the list on the left hand-side of the window that opens.
  3. Under Single ScanVision Device Mode make sure that the enable box is NOT checked. If the box is checked, left-click the box once to uncheck it.
  4. Click OK to exit.

Perform a Static sEMG test

  1. Click on Start an Exam
  2. Select "FS static sEMG protocl"
  3. If you are performing the test in Single ScanVision Mode, the software will have you measure all of the left side sites first and then the right side sites.
