Which AntiVirus Should I Use With MyoVision?

Customers are required to use Windows Defender or Microsoft Security Essentials as their antivirus software. Windows Defender is the built-in default as part of Windows 8, 8.1, and 10.
If you are running Windows 7, the built-in antivirus is called Microsoft Security Essentials. Click Here for instructions on getting Microsoft Security Essentials setup on Windows 7.

We found that, for the average MyoVision user, Norton, McAfee, AVG, Trend Micro, Kaspersky, and other name brand antivirus software providers frequently cause conflicts inside of the software. These antivirus programs listed above, frequently cause the software to experience SQL errors. If  the MyoVision software is experiencing an SQL error, you will not be able to perform new exams, open old exams, or edit patient information. (For more information on SQL Errors Click Here.)

In order to run Windows Defender, you will need to uninstall any other antivirus programs on your computer.

Shortcut: if you are running Windows 10, do a search inside the Cortana search box for "Defender" to open the Windows Defender Security Center.

For more information on how to use Defender on other operating system versions visit This Microsoft Page.

From "The Defender Security Center" you can check the health and performance of your computer, create parental controls, and view your antivirus and firewall settings.
